Paid upgrade. Plan the wall position and confirm pairing for the selected system.
Wired wall panel
Paid upgrade. Coordinate its wiring with the model-specific installation arrangement.

What does "smart" cover in a YUWANG system?
In the UK and parts of Europe, a "smart shower" usually means a digital or electric shower — a wall-mounted unit with a digital temperature display, often with its own heating element. That is a different product category, and it is not what we make.
In a YUWANG system, "smart" covers three things:

What it does not include:
- No digital temperature display. Temperature is set at the valve.
- No app control of water temperature. The Wi-Fi option controls lighting only.

The catalogue quotes a 20 m effective control transmission distance. Confirm the model and site conditions; power and signal cable lengths need separate confirmation.

Temperature control: thermostatic or hot-cold valves
Every set includes a concealed valve. Two decisions:
Valve type
- Thermostatic — holds the outlet temperature against changes in supply
- Hot-cold — mixes manually
Flow rate
- Medium flow — 1/2G inlet, 1/2G outlet
- Large flow — 3/4G inlet, 1/2G outlet
Connections are 1/2G and 3/4G only — G (BSP) parallel thread. Adapters to other thread standards are not supplied.

Upgrades, pricing and lead time
Control upgrades are listed separately on the quotation — you can see what the control choice costs against the base set.
Whether an upgrade affects the minimum order or the production lead time is confirmed per order, since it depends on quantity and the rest of the configuration.
Controls have to be fixed before installation drawings are confirmed, because the control position and the wiring are part of the drawing.

What to plan before choosing a control
- Control position — inside or outside the wet zone, and at what height
- Cable route — for the wired panel and the driver-to-unit connection; confirm cable specification and permitted length separately
- Wi-Fi coverage in the bathroom, if the app option is used — bathrooms are often the weakest point on a guest floor
- Power and low-voltage provision in the ceiling void, and whether the driver can be reached for service afterwards
On a recessed system these get fixed at design stage. Once the ceiling is closed, changing the control position means opening it again.

Smart shower FAQ
Is a smart shower system worth it for a project? It depends on what the bathroom is doing for the property. Where the bathroom is part of what the rate is paying for — suites, wellness areas, boutique properties — controllable lighting is a visible part of the guest experience. In a standard guest room with a tight budget, the base configuration may be the better call. Evaluate the added features against the room brief, maintenance plan and budget; no return on investment is promised.
What are the disadvantages to plan for? More components means more to specify and more to maintain. A recessed system needs its electrical provision planned with the ceiling, needs service access designed in, and needs the control position settled before drawings. None of that is difficult, but all of it is easier before construction than after.
Can it integrate with a hotel room control system? We do not claim integration with third-party room control systems. If your project needs it, raise it with us at enquiry stage and we will tell you what is and is not possible rather than guess.
